A Scottish comedian reveals he’s HIV positive
Scott Agnew, a gay comedian from Scotland revealed this week that he was living with HIV. In a piece with the Scottish Daily Record Scott busted a few myths around HIV telling readers that “it’s certainly not a death sentence”. He also said it’s pretty much life as normal “I take one tablet a day and that’s it, other than trying to get a bit fitter than you would be normally.” Read more at the Scottish Daily Record
Drag queen wears crown adorned with HIV positive blood
Northern Irish drag queen, Electra, wore a crown covered in HIV positive blood to Belfast Pride this month in hopes to raise awareness around HIV. “My princess ball gown is topped off with a beautiful tiara. Look closely, and you will see the red hue” she told the crowd. The inspiration behind the crown was a magazine and poster printed in Austria last year in HIV positive blood. More over at Attitude
