Our positive advocate, Tom, and Medical Director, Dr Steve Taylor appeared today on BBC Radio 1’s Newsbeat programme. They were discussing the new HIV figures from Public Health England, which show that one in five of those with HIV in the UK do not know that they are infected – and that up to three quarters of those with detectable viral loads of HIV may not be aware of their infection.

Testing, of course, is so important in this situation – and so Tom and Steve discussed how putting off your sexual health check just doesn’t work.
