Health experts in the West Midlands are calling for testing for HIV to be offered routinely by GPs and hospitals.

More than 5,000 people in the West Midlands have the virus.

Doctors are leading a new national campaign about HIV – the first in almost 30 years.

Cath Mackie spoke to former Wolves goalkeeper Matt Murray, who is promoting the campaign, and Dr Steve Taylor, a specialist at Heartlands Hospital, in Birmingham.
