Food4ARVs in Swaziland

By March 29, 2012 January 28th, 2015 No Comments

You may remember the stories of Máke and Sibusiso, who met our roving advocates and bloggers, Emma and Charlie, in Swaziland last year. Emma has since established a new fundraising arm of Saving Lives, Food4ARVs, which aims to support the home-based care teams with whom she worked in Swaziland. ARVs, the medicines prescribed to those living with HIV, must be taken with food – and in rural Swaziland, that isn’t always easy. Emma’s project is designed to help the home-based care team plug that gap. It was great, then, to see both Máke and Sibusiso in some photography sent to us from Swaziland – it’s a pleasure to help old friends such as these.
