On December 3rd, 2011, just two days after World AIDS Day, Aston Villa participated in the Football Saving Lives launch week. The team wore Saving Lives t-shirts during warm-up, and we featured in the day’s match programme. Aston Villa were playing Manchester United that day, giving an international audience to really positive HIV messages. Below are some images from the day – we’re hugely grateful to Villa, to our patron, Stiliyan Petrov (who appeared at a press conference in the days before the game), and to the rest of the team.
