BLUES AT THE WEEKEND [25.02.11]

We’re extremely excited to announce that Saving Lives will appear in this weekend’s Carling Cup Final match programme, with the endorsement of both clubs involved. We can’t thank both Birmingham City and Arsenal FC enough: this sort of opportunity to communicate key HIV testing messages to so large an audience is fantastic, and we’re really pleased to have secured such an opportunity so early in the life of Saving Lives.

Not only that – as you’ll learn as you browse the site further, Blues manager Alex McLeish and three of his players have come fully onboard with the Saving Lives campaign, to act as footballing patrons. Ben Foster, Craig Gardner, and Alexander Hleb have all agreed to help promote our message that HIV testing isn’t scary – but is essential.

Our ‘Saving Lives All-Stars’ will be key to getting that over to fans of the Blues, of football, and indeed the wider general public. We’re encouraged that they so quickly saw the wisdom and virtue of our campaign – and here’s to many more match days to come!
