Birmingham Med Students Get Running for Saving Lives

By October 17, 2018 No Comments

University of Birmingham medical students have raised an amazing £500 at the city’s half marathon this month, all in aid of the charitable work of Saving Lives.

Afrah Riaz and Adam Arshad have founded a student group linked to Saving Lives at the University. Their aim is to enhance HIV awareness amongst the medical student body, and they are the first student society promoting HIV education on campus.

Several of the ‘Saving Lives students’ ran the half marathon in aid of the charity, and the £500 they raised will be going towards charitable work planned for this year’s National HIV Testing Week – watch this space for more news.

Thanks to Adam, Afrah and all the Birmingham students!
