Howarth won the invitational 3000m race for junior athletes at Crystal Palace, before winning a surprise bronze medal at the European Cross Country Champs.
She considers representing GB at the World Juniors in Poland in 2008 to be her greatest achievement in athletics so far.
In 2009 she finished second in the National Cross Country championships before going on to finish a creditable 13th in the World Cross Country Championships in Jordan.
She is currently studying medicine at Birmingham University and likes to swim in her spare time. |
